Historical notes

Only in the first half of the 16th century did it pass under the Parish Church of Scandiano, which joined it with the church and monastery of the Servi della Crocetta, who kept it until 1769. The plan of the current church dates to the mid-17th century. In the 19th century, in addition to the new facade, two chapels were added, dedicated to San Vincenzo Ferreri and St. Andrew Apostle. The church holds a fine painting with the images of St. James, St. Anne, and the Blessed Virgin, a painting with the image of St. Andrew, one of St. Catherine, and one of the Blessed Virgin of the Ghiara.
