Art of the goal. Painting, sculpture and photography play the most beautiful game in the world

The exhibition focuses on the relationships between creative and sports world from the late XIX century to the contemporary art. In San Domenico Cloisters, via Dante Alighieri 11.

On display are over 60 works from public museums and foundations (Rovereto-based Mart, Milan-based Novecento Museum, Turin-based Ettore Fico Museum, Bologna-based Fondazione Cirulli, Milan-based Fondazione Marconi, galleries and private collections), with protagonists, movements, groups and languages - painting, sculpture, photography and installation - in which football plays the big match, from green fields to academies and workshops; that is the reason why the so-called "Fine Arts" love to put themselves in comparison to Italy's most popular, played and beloved sport.
