700 and he does not look his age. Dante and the Comedy in Panizzi Library's collections

On the occasion of the VII centenary of the death of Dante Alighieri (1321-2021), the exhibition suggests a tour aimed at the dissemination of the figure of Dante and the poetic, historical and human message of his work, especially the Comedy, and at the development of a large and articulated set of documents, kept in the graphic and book collections of the Library. In the Panizzi Library, via Farini 3.

October 2, 2021 - January 9, 2022

The exhibition suggests a path that investigates the relationship between text and image in ancient and modern editions of the Poem as well as the iconographic fortune of Dante and the main episodes of the Comedy. The final section highlights - through books, documents, prints and photographs - the Reggio Emilia fortune of Dante and the Comedy over the centuries, sourcing from the rich archives of the Panizzi Library.
