The Rodano Park, between the districts of Buco del Signore, Pappagnocca, Rosta Nuova and San Maurizio, includes places of great natural, historical and cultural complex of San Maurizio, the area of Acque Chiare and site of ommunity interest and Fontanili of Fogliano and Ariolo, the complex of San Lazzaro and the park of Campovolo.

The Rodano Park, with its 400 hectares, surrounds Reggio Emilia to the east and is characterized by a marked “wildness” and a high naturalistic value, also because of the presence of several springs, of a Community Interest Site and an Ecological Rebalancing Area.

The symbolic place of the park is the Mauriziano, house of Ludovico Ariosto and place of the historical identity of the whole town of Reggio Emilia.
