Civic Museums Network
Inside five museums, two historical buildings and three exibition centers are hosted different collections, from the Paleolithic Age to the present days. A work that lasted many decades, maintaining and updating a heritage coming from about 200 years ago.

Historical notes
The system of collections, historic sites and exhibition centres managed by the Civic Museum of Reggio Emilia, formed the cultural identity of the Reggio Emilia people over the years.
The historic location of the Civic Museum, recently renovated by the architect Italo Rota, is now part of a network including other museum locations: Parmeggiani Gallery, Tricolour Flag Museum, Psychiatry History Museum and the Museum of Ghiara Holy Virgin Mary. The network also includes the Mauriziano and the Art Library.
