"Misunderstood". The life of Antonio Ligabue through his works

Anthological exhibition dedicated to the painter Antonio Ligabue (1899-1965). In Palazzo Bentivoglio, piazza Bentivoglio.

Inside Sala Giove are on display 22 oil paintings and several bronze statues by Ligabue. The works are displayed in chronological order, so as to observe the evolution of style, technique and themes.

On display are also famous masterpieces depicting animals in motion, “Swiss castles” and the wonderful portrait “Self-portrait with scarecrow”, as well as unpublished documents illustrating the life of Ligabue in Gualtieri and photos dating back to the Fifties depicting the artist with his famous Guzzi motorcycle.

Saturday 10.00 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. and 3.00 - 7.00 p.m. (last entrance 6.00 p.m.); Sunday and holidays 10.00 a.m. - 7.00 p.m. (last entrance 6.00 p.m.). Reservation recommended.
