Refined Albinea is located in the Matildic Lands, at the feet of the Reggio Emilia Apennines. It is made up of 3 communities: Borzano, Montericco and Albinea-Fola.

Beata Vergine di Lourdes Church

Old parish church in Neoclassical style, remodelled in the 12th century (Parish Church of Montericco).

Villa Tarabini

Prestigious palace of the XVII Century, purchased by the Municipality between 2010 and 2011. It's located inside a superb park and it's the seat of several events and concerts en plain air. It hosts also the Municipal vinegar cellar.

Borzano Castle

The Borzano Castle, of which are few remaining traces, was built on the summit of a an imposing gypsum hill.

Montericco castle

The ancient castle of Montericco, which is now a private residence, has seen extensive renovation, and although the building is impressive and well preserved, it retains little of its original appearance.

Albinea Castle

The construction of the castle can be dated to before 1070.
The castle was built by the Fogliani family and in 1070 appears in the bishops' estate.

Messininian Gypsums - Pomo Sinkhole (Dolina del Pomo)

It is one of the major sinkholes in the speleological area of the local Messinian Gypsums.

Ca' del Vento Trail

CAI Trail no. 614 starts from CEA (in via Chierici no. 2 at Borzano). Bikers (mountain bikes) and pedestrians can walk it through.

Albinea Municipal vinegar cellar

It is possible to breathe the atmosphere of a time stopped, when the production patiently followed the natural rhythms, and the vinegar rested quietly in its scented wooden barrels and wine.
