Historical notes

The building is characterized by the constant repetition of precise standards of size and construction. It is composed of three main bodies and in part calls to mind the construction model of the villas in the Veneto region.
Of particular importance are the central body, with its aristocratic apartments, reception rooms and a magnificent hall called “il teatrino,” whose decorations date back to the beginning of the 19th century and have been cleaned and restored. The eastern and western wings have double porticoes.
What makes the Palazzo original is that its production activities and its use as a formal residence are brought together. The façade, which runs parallel to main road, faces the parish church. In 1974 the Local Council purchased the building, which was almost entirely abandoned, and began conservation recovery.
